Reiki and Restorative : REJUVENATE : Jan 27th 2:30-4:30pm at Laughing Lotus Brooklyn
Sink deep into the body, mind and heart with the healing practices of meditation, reiki and restorative yoga. Meditation allows you to empty your mind and land in the moment as it is. Reiki is very soft healing touch intended to melt the body and allow energy to flow though stuck spaces.
This workshop will start with gentle stretching to open the body better preparing you for the restorative practice and act of receiving. Reiki will be offered throughout your state of rejuvenation. We will begin and end with a heart centric meditation leaving you grounded, centered in clarity and completely open!
Drawing Meditation Workshop : February 17th 2:30-4:30pm at Laughing Lotus Brooklyn
Long before yoga and seated meditation found me I was drawing. Drawing has been the constant way I have returned home, to myself. It is in essence a single pointed concentration meditation opening up the world of the subconscious mind. Meditation is a vital way for us to stay calm and connected amidst life's inevitable chaos. There is no one way or right way to find stillness in the mind.
In this workshop we'll use drawing, coloring and pattern repetition to serve as a single point concentration meditation. This creative meditation will help you find stillness and allow the subconscious to surface! We will begin with a class flowing deep into the hips; the space of the second chakra to awaken your creativity. then you settle in to create, rest, reflect and record.
Please bring a notebook or journal to write in.
*Pens, markers, colored pencils and paper will be provided.
